Ms. Goldstein has concentrated her practice in the area of matrimonial law since 1987. Her experience includes trials and settlement negotiations involving various issues. She has handled cases involving tracing of assets over long periods of time, business valuation, real estate valuation, pension and other defined benefit plan valuation, investments, securities and stock options, tax ramifications and other financial interests. During her 24 years of practice, Ms. Goldstein has tried and settled numerous financial and custody cases involving visitation and psychological issues on behalf of both husbands and wives The court has appointed her to represent children's interests. She has pursued and defended claims of maintenance, child support, college expenses and the other related issues. She has negotiated prenuptial agreements and has litigated and settled issues involving the validity of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She also is an arbitrator for the 19th Judicial Circuit, Lake County.
Ms. Goldstein was named one of the top 50 female super lawyers as published in Chicago Magazine and polled by a blue ribbon panel established by Law & Politics Magazine. Her peers have recognized her as being in the top 5% of attorneys in the field of domestic relations in Illinois every year from 2003 to the present, and she has been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics Magazine in its 2005 edition and every year thereafter to the present.
