Mr. Stone is a criminal defense lawyer in Waukegan, Illinois, with a nationwide practice and national reputation for excellence in advocacy. He is a fellow of the American Board of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a Diplomate of the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a frequent lecturer on criminal law and constitutional issues.
Mr. Stone is the author of "Preserving The Record" in Defending Illinois Criminal Cases; "A Lawyer's Reflection On Death" The Chicago Bar Record, Chicago Bar Association, October 1992; and the newly revised Illinois Criminal Defense Motions, 1995.
He serves on the faculties of the National College of Criminal Defense; Mercer Law School, Macon, Georgia; the New York State Defender Institute; and the University of Chicago Mandel Clinic Trial Advocacy Program as a visiting faculty member. He serves as an adjunct professor of law at Northwestern University. He is an instructor in the Department of Politics at the Lake Forest College. He is listed in Who's Who in American Law.
