| Practice Description:
Mr. Peck, managing partner, concentrates his practice in trust and estate litigation, estate planning/administration, guardianship and fiduciary ltigation, and elder law. His clients include families, hospitals, banks, the state of Illinois, Cook County, and cty of Chicago. Mr. Peck is president-elect of the International Network of Boutique Law Firms, and he is past president of the 22,000-lawyer Chicago Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education Programs around the country and has spoken for the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.
Mr. Peck was retained by the city of Chicago, Department of Aging and named special assistant Corporate Counsel for the city of Chicago. His assignment was to revise the state of Illinois Elder Abuse and Neglect Act Statutes. This major legislative project is an acknowledgment of Mr. Peck's leadership in the elder law community. He has appeared on several television news programs, been interviewed by local radio and Chicago newspapers on the Schiavo issues. Mr. Peck has litigated many right-to-die cases. He serves on the Governor's Task Force on Elder Abuse, the National Board of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and was chosen as a delegate to The White House Conference on Aging held in Washington, D.C. in 2005.
Mr. Peck has taught at seminars for the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, as well as the International Psychogeriatric Convention in Vancouver, Canada. He has written articles for the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin,and the Chicago Bar Association Record and has appeared on several radio and television shows, including Front and Center, CLTV News ; the Oprah Winfrey Show; ABC TV News and appeared monthly on CBS-WBBM radio's Dave Baum talk show for several years, to name a few.
Mr. Peck serves as a member of the National Board of NAELA, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is past president of the Illinois chapter of NAELA. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Disability & Elder Law as well as a past member of the Suburban (Cook County) Area Agency on Aging Board of Directors.
